HOW EUROPEANS ARE HELPING PEOPLE WITH DOWN SYNDROME
POSEIDON is a 3 year project which has been sponsored by the European Commission.
It aims to create information technology which will support people with Down’s syndrome achieve a greater level of independence in their lives. People with Down’s syndrome, their families and carers are all heavily involved in the project guiding the developers and providing user feedback at every stage of the process.
POSEIDON will provide an additional layer of support that can help people with Down’s syndrome in their daily lives and is aimed at young adults . The goal is to encourage decision-making and independence by providing information and guidance, at the right time, in the right place, in a personalised way
