DAMAGE EFFECTS OF ANTI-AGING CREAM
Your skin is an organ, actually the largest one you’ve got, and it has to be treated tenderly. Over time, certain ingredients in anti-wrinkle face cream can actually change the texture of your skin and cause other problems. None of that is put on the fancy label that promises long-lasting youth and beauty, is it?
A common anti-wrinkle face cream ingredient, lactic acid helps encourage healthy cell regeneration. Too much of it, however, can be a bad thing. Look for formulas containing 2 percent lactic acid or less. Too much of the acid can create irritation in skin. Hyaluronic acid is good for your skin, and it’s commonly used by dermatologists. Alpha hydroxyl acid helps your skin shed dead cells, and it’s common in face cream formulas. AHA stimulates collagen to diminish the appearance of wrinkles, and it’s a very useful anti-wrinkle face cream ingredient.
Over-use of anti-wrinkle face creams can lead to nothing good. Too much of them may cause skin irritation like inflammation, rashes and acne. Over time, your skin may even become thinner. This might make it easier to see the blood vessels just under the surface of your skin. Don’t put on a ton of cream; this doesn’t mean you’ll get bigger and faster results. Usually, it just means you’re putting too many chemicals on your skin
